Another big week!

Hello Monday!
Sorry to all those in Portland and the Pacific Northwest. We really didn’t mean to scare you by not including you in the initial tour announcement. We are now happy to announce that we will be playing in Portland on April 8th! The ticket pre-sale starts on Wed Oct 21, details and links are on the show page. The pre-sales for San Diego and San Francisco shows also start on the 21st.
In less than a week we will take the stage in Los Angeles for the live debut of all the songs from SAINTHOOD. We are so excited to get back on tour and play the new songs. The response in Victoria was so positive. Playing new songs has really inspired all of us these past few weeks. It’s time to share!
Starting tomorrow morning you can listen to the stream of SAINTHOOD in it’s entirety on Myspace! For real! No guilt! It’s the worldwide debut of the record and we hope you all love it. Hopefully you’ll all be ready to sing along when we come to a city near you! We did an interview with the Myspace Music Feed too, they posted that today so you can check it out now at myspace.com/myspacemusicfeed.
We have also started our Spinner Takeover today! They are going to be posting a bunch of funny videos of our various antics that we recorded in their studio last month, with something new everyday, leading up to release day on Oct 27th, and with a stream of Sainthood starting on the 26th. Today they posted a preview of all the things to come, so go to www.spinner.com.

Tegan and Sara Kick Off Their 'Spinner Takeover'
In anticipation of their forthcoming Chris Walla-produced LP 'Sainthood,' Tegan and Sara will be taking over Spinner all this week and through next Wednesday. Fans of the twins can expect an array of exclusive goodies, including behind-the-scenes high jinks, skits and, um, questionable attempts at drum solos. Best of all, starting next Monday we'll be streaming 'Sainthood' in its entirety on our Full CD Listening Party.
Today we're kicking things off with a preview of all the T&S stuff to come. In this clip you'll witness some sisterly bonding (of sorts) and a glimpse at Sara's foray into the buttoned-up "CEO corporate world" where she "has no heart and no soul" (Tegan's words, not ours). Ink Blot Factory

Hey Everyone!
The deluxe pre-order bundles of ON IN AT are sold out! We
hunkered down and made the ink blots this weekend. It was a
lot of work but it was so fun. Each deluxe bundle with the book
set and Sainthood cd will have a hand made ink blot signed by
Sara and I and the actual clothes pin that held it on the line to
dry. We hope you enjoy!
There are still limited copies of the books available for pre-order
with our new record! Go to www.maplemusic.com to order one
today! The books are available only at Maple as a part of this bundle.
They will only be offered at shows starting next year if stock
permits so don’t wait and miss out!

Important: Pre sale begins at 10 am on Wed September 30th, with the public on sale following on Friday October 2nd at 10am with the exception of the Victoria show with our great friends AFI and Jets Overhead. The rock and roll novel by first time author Matthew Specktor is drawing praise and attention from all around, partially because of all the famous people who’ve recorded narrations of part of it, including Sara Keirsten Quin of Tegan and Sara. ON, IN, AT - The Tegan and Sara Books!

Hi Friends,
As we’ve been mentioning over the past few months, we are releasing our first ever set of books, titled ON, IN, AT. Now it’s finally time to share the details about this project that we have been hard at work on for over a year!!! It’s a three-book set that chronicles different time periods over a year in our lives with writing and photographs: the 2008 US national tour, a joint writing session in New Orleans for the new album in the fall of 2008 and the 2009 Australian headlining tour.
The book set will only be available for purchase with the pre-order of Sainthood, and the pre-sale will begin on Sept 28th!
ON includes writing from Dallas Green (of City and Colour and Alexisonfire), Northern State, An Horse and us. Photographer Lindsey Byrnes also captures the behind the scenes activity on the road. The book allows a glimpse of the imagery and moments that you don’t usually get to see. We wanted to show you the perspective that we as a band sees, even from on stage.
IN is an in depth look at our trip to New Orleans in November of 2008 to write music together. It was the first time in 14 years that we have attempted this, so it had to be recorded! Photographer Ryan Russell was there with us to capture every moment of the week long session. The book includes transcripts and interviews with Chris Walla of Death Cab For Cutie and other friends that we called and bothered while we were in New Orleans.
AT explores our last tour in support of The Con which took place in Australia and gives each of the 5 band members the chance to share their experiences through journals and photos. The book also includes more great photos by Lindsey Byrnes.
Emy Storey was, of course, the creative director on the project and brought her unique vision and flair to this beautiful 3 book set.
We are so proud of these books and have poured our hearts into them. We really think they are something that you will love. Check back often for more info about the worldwide pre-sale which will begin Sept 28th at Maplemusic.com.
We have made a limited amount of the books for the pre sale. Early next year we hopefully will be selling the book set at shows and online. But if you want the books now you must pre-order them with the record! The books will be very modestly priced. And packaged with Sainthood you really are going to be buying the most comprehensive package ever released by our band.

more Tiësto and internet Cafés
Hi friends,
Tegan is on vacation and I’ve been left in charge of this weeks announcements. I’m a little rusty, and I’ll admit, a tad nervous to fill her shoes. all that tweeting and blogging she does has sharpened her skills.
I’m incredibly out of the loop and do not currently have the “internet” in my apartment. probably for the best since the temperature hovers near one million degrees, occasionally cooling to a miserable humid chill of 95, and i fear that using my lap top to blog or tweet would only boil my brain.
I write this from the comfort of an internet cafe. Yes, they still exist. I tried the library but apparently all of those were closed in the late 1990’s, along with phone booths. According to the police man staking out the location across from my apartment, they only get used by drug dealers now. Who knew?
So! Here i go! First post of the week! Tiësto! Tegan and Sara! I feel it in my bones! Etc!
Tegan traveled east for the big video shoot this week, a treat since I generally fly west for music related shenanigans!
The highlight of the shoot for me was dancing on camera. It’s an incredibly fine line between what I was doing and actual dancing and I only hope that my awkward seizure of jerking limbs in that dark warehouse while 15 people looked on in bewildered horror/amusement translates to the giant jumbo LED screens used in Tiësto’s live show.
Apparently dancing isn’t like riding a bike. Tegan screamed helpful feedback…”move your hips for christ sake!”. She did much better. I credit her DJ phase in 2006 for the mad skillz. Dancing aside, the video was so much fun and we’re truly grateful to be included on Tiësto’s new album. I hope you all go and check out the show (and the video) when he’s on tour this year.

Tegan is on vacation and I’ve been left in charge of this weeks announcements. I’m a little rusty, and I’ll admit, a tad nervous to fill her shoes. all that tweeting and blogging she does has sharpened her skills.
I’m incredibly out of the loop and do not currently have the “internet” in my apartment. probably for the best since the temperature hovers near one million degrees, occasionally cooling to a miserable humid chill of 95, and i fear that using my lap top to blog or tweet would only boil my brain.
I write this from the comfort of an internet cafe. Yes, they still exist. I tried the library but apparently all of those were closed in the late 1990’s, along with phone booths. According to the police man staking out the location across from my apartment, they only get used by drug dealers now. Who knew?
So! Here i go! First post of the week! Tiësto! Tegan and Sara! I feel it in my bones! Etc!
Tegan traveled east for the big video shoot this week, a treat since I generally fly west for music related shenanigans!
